Surrogacy is 'the action or state of being a surrogate. The process of giving birth as a surrogate mother or of arranging such a birth'.

Needs For This Law:
The Surrogacy Bill/Law was created in 2007, as there was an increasing number of people turning to surrogacy to have children. Due to a number of people using surrogacy as a means of having children, it is important to make sure that there are specific rights, laws and acts to protect both the children, surrogate mother and parents.

Negatives/Cons:
Some negatives and cons that surround the Surrogacy Bill of 2007, is the method of surrogacy its self. Surrogacy to some people is seen to be wrong and not accepted. Some people do not believe that others should be able to have children this way due to their religion and beliefs as it is not a natural way to conceive a child and not accepted in their religion. This bill makes the method of surrogacy to be more acceptable, and more common, which some people do not agree with.
